Arab Coalition Position
on Israel
The Jewish Community has heavily influenced American policy by contributing
millions and millions of dollars to organizations that support and promote
Israeli interests through the political process, in the news media and even
in Hollywood. The American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) alone
has over 100,000 members and an annual budget of $50 to $60 million and its
growing fast. Armed with money and an organized agenda, the Jewish
Community has been
extremely successful. Israel currently receives $3 to $4 billion per year
in military and economic grants, refugee settlement assistance and other
aid from the United States. Israel’s share of foreign aid often exceeds
one-third of the total U.S. foreign aid budget. The Jewish Community
has been able to
accomplish this with money by lobbying Congress and the Executive Office,
by influencing the media and by using Hollywood to promote Israel’s
agenda.
Now is the time for Arabs to unite and advance the
Arab agenda. It takes money and membership to counteract the Israeli lobby
